July Fulfillment Update #1

Hello backers!

It's the beginning of the final month in our estimated fulfillment schedule. Let's take a look at how things are lining up!

• The May wave is completely shipped, and the June wave is *mostly* fulfilled - we estimate by month's end to land with approximately 100 orders remaining (the video is incorrect on the number; about 100 orders shipped out after filming). These remaining June orders should go out relatively quickly - within the coming week, most likely.
• Moving into July, we'll be focusing on the outstanding June orders first, then moving on once the dice arrive. We've gotten word of an unavoidable delay on Dispel's end, so there will be a bit of a lull before we ship out the bulk of Wave 3 orders. We do expect to still receive the final shipment this month, but probably more towards the latter half of the month than the front half. I'll have a more solid update on the expected timeline in the mid-July update, after the order has been shipped out to us.
• As we move forward and continue to ship out a large volume of  orders, just a reminder that if you discover an issue with your order -  shipping damage, a missing item, or items that don't align with what you  expected - just get in touch with us, and we'll be happy to help. Send  photos (if applicable) to [email protected], and we'll respond  with next steps ASAP.
• As always, be sure to keep your address up to date with us so we  can be sure your orders get to the right place. If you have a move  coming up, let us know the address and when you'll be able to receive  mail there so we can change your address in the system.
• Finally, there are still several hundred backers who did not respond to the survey, or responded but failed to indicate any items they wanted to order. This is officially the last call for responses; after July 15th, we'll begin the process of locking down these orders and transferring the pledges to credit.
• With fulfillment wrapping up soon, pre-orders will be closing on July 15th, as well. If you've got your order and wanted to order more, or know anyone in your group that's planning on snagging a set but hasn't yet placed their order, now is officially the time!

The Weeks Ahead

As the numbers above demonstrate, we've hit June very hard these past few weeks. We're going to be clearing out the last of the prior wave orders as we continue production for the final Kickstarter wave, then roll right into pre-order production.

We expect to have a quiet couple of weeks while we wait for the last dice order to arrive from Dispel, and then we should be shipping heavily again, so please bear with us while we line up the conclusion of the fulfillment. As we reach the mid-month mark in fulfillment month #2, let's check in on our progress!

• The last of May Dice Vault production is wrapping up and making its way to inventory now, and will be shipped out next week at the latest. Nearly all of the June Dice Vault production is in process, except for a very small segment of the Ebony pieces; these are due to be started shortly and will be pushed through to catch them up to their June brethren.

The Weeks Ahead

As expected, the arrival of the June order cleared the way for solid shipping to resume day after day, and we expect to ship heavily for the remainder of the month. Production is going well, and we're aiming to have May wrapped up within days, and are hopeful we can get the vast majority of June produced and shipped by the month's end, if not all. June Fulfillment Update #1

Hello backers!

As we begin the second month of fulfillment, let's take a look at how things stand.

Key Takeaways

• We closed out May, with the exception of a handful of orders; while we did create the necessary number of Dice Vaults to finish up the month, we lost some, mostly at the CNC stage of production, and it did impact these remaining orders. However, they should be out within the next week or two. We apologize for the unexpected delay.
• The second order from Dispel will be arriving in the next week, which should cover the June wave - and then some. We'll begin shipping these out shortly after the order arrives, as early as late next week.
• While production losses did make us fall a bit short on May, we're pushing forward hard to get Dice Vaults and Tabletop Vaults not just on time, but ahead - at this point, we've got all necessary Vaults for the remainder of fulfillment in production, although many are at the early stages. You can expect a status report on how they're moving in the next update.
• While most of the feedback we've gotten is positive, and most shipments are arriving just fine, shipping damage can happen. In addition, individual dice within a colorway can vary, so it's possible to get a set that isn't quite what you expected, or that you don't like as much as you thought you would. While we've looked over our inventory and are finding that generally it matches the photos posted on the page, it's always possible to find an outlier here or there with unique items like these. If you feel that any of this applies to your order, just let us know - we'll be happy to help you exchange your set for a set you will love. To get started with that process, send us a brief description of the problem, with a photo of the item(s) in question to us at [email protected]. 
• Speaking of shipping, be sure to keep your address up to date with us. If you're moving, have moved since you filled out your survey and placed your order on BackerKit, or will be moving at any point over the next couple of months, it's vital that you let us know immediately.
• As we noted last time, we always ship all orders we can - excess  inventory that we don't need for the current month gets allocated to the  next wave, so the overflow items we received for May can be shipped to June backers early. But an item necessary for an unshipped May order will never be sent out to a June or July backer first, nor would items needed for June backers be shipped to July backers. Only excess inventory gets selected for early shipments.

The Weeks Ahead

While I'm not happy that we've fallen a bit behind, it shows every sign of being a one-time issue and not a trend. We've got a solid ETA for the remaining Dice Vaults and Tabletop Vaults due for May, and the June and July Vaults aren't going to be far behind. In addition, the June Dispel order will be arriving any day, and that arrival will open up a flood of orders, so we should see big number shifts in the mid-June update, two weeks from now.

It's time for the first mid-month check in. Let's take a look and see how fulfillment is going in month #1.

• I'm pleased to report things are off to a great start: we've shipped well over 1,000 orders already, including some early June orders!
• The earliest shipments went out on May 1st, and we've been shipping heavily since. As the final product is in, I included some rough clips of finished inventory in the video as a sneak preview for those of you in the later waves.
• We're wrapping up the Dice Vaults needed for the first month, and going right into June production, but things are moving strong on this front, as well. We should be wrapping up May within the next week or so, and then getting a strong start on June prior to the second Dispel order arriving here towards the end of the month.

May Fulfillment Update: Fulfillment Begins This Month

Well, it's May, and that means one thing: fulfillment is beginning this month!

• Moving forward, we'll be sending you two updates per month, instead of just one. Now that fulfillment is beginning, we'll keep you informed with a mid-month check-in so you can see how production and shipments are progressing.
• We're receiving our first shipment from Dispel this afternoon (May 1st). After that, we'll begin the process of verifying and inventorying everything, in preparation for ship-out. We've staggered the ordering so we should receive each wave's items with plenty of time, but I'll let you know if anything changes over the course of the fulfillment.
• Our production is well underway, so we don't anticipate any issues getting shipments going very soon. As of last week, we had about 50% of the Dice Vaults for the first wave produced and ready, so everything is going well.
• You can expect shipments to start going out as early as the end of this week!
• Now that we're beginning fulfillment, it's vital that your address be kept up to date with us. If you're moving, have moved since you filled out your survey and placed your order on BackerKit, or will be moving at any point over the next couple of months, it's critical you let us know immediately. To understand why, we should talk about how our fulfillment process works.
• Our process for filling orders prioritizes the earliest orders, but we actually look at ALL orders in the project to see what we can fill. If we have all the orders in the current wave covered, our system will look to later waves, and if we can fill those orders, too - we will! For example, let's say that we needed 100 Iconic Water d20s for the entirety of the May wave of fulfillment. If we actually received 120, the system will look into the June, or even July orders, to "assign" those remaining 20 items. If a backer in June ordered ONLY an Iconic Water d20, their order could be filled - and our system will let us know to ship it - even if it's still May!
• It's important to note that the above scenario would ONLY happen if we had MORE of a given item than the current wave needed; if, for example, we only had 98 Iconic Water d20s, the system would assign all 98 to May orders. Orders will only ship early if it doesn't come at the expense of an earlier backer's order. But, we will not hold back complete orders simply because the earlier wave is not 100% shipped.
• I hope this explains why it's so important that we have your up-to-date address information! So if you're anticipating a move, whether or not it falls before or after your estimated fulfillment month, let us know right away. Please send a direct message on Kickstarter, or an email to [email protected], with the following information: your current address, your new address, as well as the date you will be able to receive mail at your new address. If you know you're moving, but your new address isn't final yet, you can still let us know the timing, and we can hold your order until you provide us the new location.
