BackerKit Surveys Going Out Now!

It's a bit later in the day than anticipated, but this is the update to confirm that all remaining BackerKit surveys are being sent right now.

If you haven't already, check out the BackerKit step-by-step walkthrough in yesterday's update. It's important information to have that will make your survey process as smooth as possible!

"I don't have my survey yet!"

Now you might not have your survey invitation yet - don't panic! Please give it a few hours. The survey invitations get queued up, and it does take a bit for them all to land. If tomorrow rolls around, and you still aren't seeing it in your inbox, though, definitely drop us a line and we'll get you sorted! But until then - just hold tight, it's on its way. :)

Just a brief follow-up - the graphic in the update had the wrong names on the CHONKS! Here is the corrected graphic. The BackerKit has been corrected, also.

Hello, everyone!

The time has finally come: the surveys are going out, beginning today! Before you close this update and refresh your email repeatedly, though, I wanted to give you a few notes on what to expect, so you'll be prepared. However, I did have one fun bit of news first...

Introducing... CHONKS!

As many of you are no doubt aware, Karen has had her mad scientist hat on a bit lately, and created some 95mm dice, which she affectionately dubs "chonks" - an appropriate and onomatopoetic name for these beasts. They're just like the Dispel Dice you've come to know and love, except, well, they're frickin' huge (95mm, if I may be so bold as to repeat myself). They have stunning liquid cores that show off the beautiful inclusions inside, and are real show-stoppers. They'll be amazing for a momentous roll, but even purely as a desk ornament they're striking. The three in the campaign each represent the fusion of two elements into one swirling, massive whole:

Surveys Going Out Today, but Mostly Tomorrow

Over the next two days, BackerKit surveys are going out.  What's this mean? Well, it means the time has come for you to select all of your items! You should receive an invitation to complete your survey soon. We're sending out a group of about 1,000 now, which we'll review to make sure everything looks good, prior to sending out the bulk of surveys tomorrow. So, if you don't have your survey link by end of day tomorrow, January 10th, reach out and let us know so we can look into it for you.

BackerKit Walkthrough - Step-by-Step

Some of you have backed our projects before, and understand the process - not much has changed for this one. However, if you're new to Wyrmwood projects on Kickstarter, or would like a refresher, please take a few moments to review this walkthrough. It can save you a lot of frustration and delays later on, and going in prepared will mean that you actually receive the items you wanted to pledge for! Great, right? So let's dive in.

1) Open your invitation email.

The first step is opening your invitation. You'll receive an email, sent to the same address you used to back the Kickstarter, with the following subject line:

Response Needed — Get your reward for The Elemental Collection: A Dice Series by Wyrmwood & Dispel

Open it up, read it over and click the big blue button to begin.

 2) Enter location information & confirm your pledge level. 

In the survey, your welcome page will include your fulfillment wave, and some basic information about the process. Read it over, then, if all is well, enter your country and state/province/region, then click the big green button to move on.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you selected "no reward" during the Kickstarter, but wish to order anything from the campaign, you must click "switch your pledge level" (see the red arrow in the image above) and select "Wave 3" in the resulting popup. Otherwise, you will not have access to any physical rewards.

3) Complete the survey questions.

Pretty straightforward - there will be a few questions to answer. The one in the image above concerns gift certificates. If you have a Dispel or Wyrmwood gift certificate you'd like to use towards this project, enter it here. After surveys are in and orders locked, we'll go through and credit all orders accordingly. So, when you confirm your order, you'll see the total BEFORE your certificate kicks in. But don't worry, we'll be sure to apply your credit before charging. :)

4) Select your add-ons. This step is CRUCIAL.

Okay, we're finally here! This step is where you select the items you pledged for in the campaign. This is the only way we know what to ship you, so do not skip this step! Your pledge in the Kickstarter itself was a placeholder, but because of the wide variety of items available, we need you to specify your items via BackerKit. You'll see items appear in your cart (see the red arrow), and below that, your total credit (your Kickstarter pledge)/balance due. The items in your cart are the entirety of your order, and all of the items you'll receive* - if you don't see it here, you won't be getting it shipped to you, so make sure everything you wanted is here!

Note that you aren't limited to spending the credit that you pledged on Kickstarter - you can go beyond that, and add as many items as you like! But be sure to add everything you want now - as you know, once this project closes down and wraps up fulfillment, these items are gone forever, never to be made again.

*The only exceptions to this are the Dark Matter bonus dice - those will be applied after you confirm your order, based on the total size of your order, so you won't see them here. But all qualifying orders will receive them.

5) Enter your shipping information.

This is an easy one! Enter your shipping information. Note that we will begin fulfilling this campaign in a few months, and your address may change over that time; if you know where you're going to be when fulfillment begins in May, enter that address here. If you're going to be moving during fulfillment, it's critical you let us know - send us a direct message with the details on your move (when and where), and we'll make sure your order gets to the right place.

6) Enter your payment info and confirm your order!

The final step! Enter your payment information in the box on the right, review your order one last time, then click the big green button to confirm. Note that your order is NOT final until you click that button (see red arrow). Once you do that, you're done! Nothing to do but relax and wait to receive your order.

However, if you decide you want to come back and add more to your order - no problem, you can edit it as much as you like until we lock down orders at the end of the month. But until then, feel free to revisit and add to your heart's content!

And that's about it, backers - pretty easy process, all in all. Still, if you run into any issues, or have any questions, or don't receive your survey by the morning of Wednesday, January 11th - don't hesitate to reach out to us via Kickstarter message or email ([email protected]) and we'll be happy to help you out.

Hello all!

As we near the end of this campaign, there are some things to know moving forward:

 • Pre orders are opening up immediately after the campaign closes - THIS IS NOT FOR BACKERS. You all want to wait for your Backerkit survey, which will be emailed to you two weeks after the campaign concludes. There you will be able to add items, subtract items, and adjust your pledge amount.

• Expect your survey invitation to come to the email you used to back the project on Kickstarter. If you used the "hide my email" option with AppleID, you may not be able to receive these emails. If you don't have the survey within a day or so of the update I send announcing surveys are out, contact us immediately with an email address so we can switch it in the system and get you invited.
• In the survey, your welcome page will include your estimated fulfillment month. Take note of this date. If you're going to be moving anytime between May 2023, the beginning of fulfillment, and a couple of weeks past your fulfillment month estimate, contact us as soon as possible to let us know, even if you aren't sure of your new address yet. We need to flag your order in our system to make sure it doesn't get sent to the wrong place. When you reach out, include your current address, your new address (if you have it), and the date you will be able to receive mail at the new address. If you don't let us know about an upcoming address change, you may be responsible for the costs involved in redirecting or resending your order, so please be sure to let us know as soon as you can.
• If you have a WyrmwoodGaming.com gift certificate OR Dispel Dice Gift Certificate, you can use it to supplement your pledge in BackerKit. Simply enter the details in the survey. Note that the order total you see in checkout will NOT reflect your certificate - we will manually adjust your order prior to charging

Campaign Page Updated; Take a Look!

Hello, everyone!

Just a quick update to let you know we've updated the campaign page with some graphics to give you a better look at everything.

The Changes

1) The offerings matrix from the last update has been tweaked and added to the main campaign page. This gives a quick overview of all the elemental dice and Vaults, next to one another for easy contrast and comparison.

2) We've also updated all of the individual offering photos - our highly stylized approach to the photography was very cool, but it made it a little difficult to see the detail in the products themselves. We've switched now to make all of the individual items be set against a white background, with only one photo in each array maintaining the "lifestyle" background approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

We've compiled a healthy FAQ section; we strongly recommend you take a look! We're getting a lot of questions that are already answered there. We'll highlight a few of the most common ones here, nonetheless.

• How will payment work? Can I add additional items to my pledge after the campaign closes?

There are two points at which payment will be collected. First will be on December 25th, when the campaign ends. Whatever amount you have pledged on Kickstarter will be collected at that time. Roughly two weeks after that, around January 9th, we will be opening up the survey to backers. Here, you'll select your items and apply the funds you pledged in the campaign to an actual order. At this time, you'll be able to add more items to your order, if desired. We'll leave the manager open for a period of several weeks, locking and charging all balances on all orders at that time, including shipping and taxes. The planned date of lockdown and charge for the pledge manager is tentatively set to February 1st, 2023. This will be the date all waves are locking and charging - waves will not have separate charge dates. If you have further questions or concerns regarding payment, please reach out to us via direct message on Kickstarter and we'll be happy to help.

• Do I have to pledge $140 on Kickstarter to get a Dark Matter d20? Do Dark Matter rewards "stack" if we spend multiples of the necessary amounts?

The Dark Matter bonus qualification will take into account your full order, after the pledge manager is locked, before shipping and taxes. The bonuses are one-per-order, and do not "stack" - if you spend between $140 and $499 on items in your order, you will receive a Dark Matter d20 with your order. If you spend $500+ on items, you will receive a full set of Dark Matter dice with your order. Note that you won't see this in your cart, as it will be added after orders are locked.

• Can I get a custom engraving on my Dice Vault?

Unfortunately, no, we will not be able to offer custom text engravings on Dice Vaults in this campaign fulfillment. The reason for this is mostly to do with the volume of our reward levels; we can produce the Dice Vaults in these numbers, but customizing each one will bog down fulfillment too much to be feasible with the deadlines we've set. If you're interested in a Dice Vault with a custom engraving, you can always order them on WyrmwoodGaming.com.

• Can I split up a set - like 3d6 with each d6 as a different element, or a mixed set of 7?

No, this will not be possible. We'll be producing these dice and packaging them all in the configurations offered, and we do not have pricing for individual d6 or other dice, other than d20s. The only option would be split up products after they were produced, packaged and delivered to us, and this would add a great deal of time, as well as leaving us with partial items that we could not sell. Similarly to custom engravings, this would slow down fulfillment significantly, as well as adding labor costs that we would need to account for, so this falls outside of the scope of the project.

If you're interested in a mixed set representing all of the elements, we recommend a selection of d20s; a set of all 6 Iconic d20 dice will come to $150 in total, which would qualify for the bonus Dark Matter d20. A full set of 6 Iridescent d20 dice would come to $120, which would not qualify for the bonus Dark Matter d20. However, the addition of any set of 3d6 or a Dice Vault to the order would cross that threshold - and in the case of the Dice Vault, it would also give you a much more attractive way to store your Elemental d20 collection! :)
